The Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu yesterday November 23rd, 2022, met with market leaders in Lagos, under the Association of Commodity Market Women & Men of Nigeria, to thank them for the support they have continued to give to his administration and to encourage them to continue to be loyal citizens of the State.
During the meeting, He announced the continuation of credit grants to 100 micro and small businesses, in each market across the state.
Mr. Governor also took the opportunity to share the benefits of good governance reaped by the state in Education, Transportation and Health, amongst others.
He reassured the market women, men and Iyaloja General that these programmes are aimed at improving the lives of residents, regardless of income and status.
He said, his administration is keeping up with this tradition because He’s aware that the intervention has empowered many women and low-income households to meet their needs.
Governor Babajide Sanwoolu also seize the opportunity to solicit their support for the APC Presidential Candidate in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also seek for their votes in his re-election bid.
Tinubu/Shettima ticket shall definitely deliver a great governance to this country and the generation after us will benefit greatly from his administration if we support and cast our undivided votes for Asiwaju and his running mate.
Mr. Governor as earlier stated, also pledged his continued support for the market men and women across the state if and when re-elected as the Governor of Lagos State.
The host and the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo thanked Mr. Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and his deputy, Dr. Hamzat Obafemi for the courtesy call and most importantly for his unwavering support for all the market men and women in Lagos through the micro grants for traders and small businesses.
Iyaloja General, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo also heaped encomium of Governor Sanwoolu-led administration for the wonderful job he and his team has done within the short period of Three and half years despite the breakout of world-wide epidemics known as Covid-19.
She promised, based on the premise of good governance delivered by Governor Sanwoolu over the short given period, that all the market women and men shall make their PVCs ready available to re-elect Mr. Governor and all other APC candidates and collectively we all have the responsibility to ensure that our party remains in charge beyond 2023 in order to continue with the nation rebuilding process through a robust infrastructural, industrial and Agricultural revolution as clearly mapped out in the manifesto of the APC and its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has promised to deliver a renewed hope for all and sundry.
In her closing remark, Iyaloja General, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo charged all the market leaders to sensitize their unit members to go for their PVC collections and be ready to vote massively for the most progressive party in Africa; the APC.
