The Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo has debunked the news making round different social media platforms across the country with an assertion that she threatened the Ndi’Gbos with eviction should they fail to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed in the forthcoming general election.
Iyaloja General took her time to explain what she said on the 14th of June, 2022 during the victory party for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory at the recently concluded APC Presidential primaries; an event which took place at her Ikeja Office.
During my appreciation message to the attendees at the victory party, which was widely attended by my friends, partners, support groups and party faithful across different tongues in Nigeria, I, Chief Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo thanked everyone for their prayers and sacrifices which eventually resulted in the victory being celebrated all over the world today by JAGABAN’s lovers, meanwhile, I called on the lovers and supporters of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take advantage of the Continuous Voters Registration (C-VR) window to perfect their readiness for the forthcoming general election; calling their attention to the importance of being eligible to exercise their franchise during an election period.
I also made it clear to our people that the victory at the Presidential Primaries should not be overemphasized as bigger task lies ahead of everyone of us in the coming year, I charged the people to realize that we cannot afford to rest on our laurels as there are no underdogs in general elections.
I also encouraged different associations, groups and individuals at the party to intensify their effort in ensuring that the general public are consistently educated and sensitized on the need to obtain their PVCs, vote and ensure that their votes count.
There was not a time during my speeches where I threaten any race or tribe with eviction; should they go ahead to vote for the candidate of their choice, I am aware that some mischief makers will go to any length to poison Nigerian’s mind against the candidature of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, But I have a very bad news for those propagandists, Asiwaju has demonstrated beyond every reasonable doubt, that He’s a very thoroughly seasoned democrat who believes in the rule of law, this He demonstrated by granting full autonomy to the legislature, Local Government and Local Council Development Areas during his time as the executive governor of Lagos state.
Lagos State Government have appointed several Ndi’gbos to take charge of several crucial ministries and parastatals and all these started during the time of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Governor of Lagos, if you go to 80% of our markets in Lagos, you will discover that Lagos has become a home for all because of the friendly policies of the government of the state, Lagos does not discriminate, provided you are dealing in a legitimate business, Lagos is the best place for you.
I appeal to Nigerians to ignore those who keep trying to divide this country along religious and ethnic bias, If you belief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu did well by appointing your kinsmen as member of his cabinet and also created an enabling environment for your business to thrive, then do the needful with your vote and if you feel otherwise, feel free to do the needful with your vote without fear or favour
