At near dawn, around 3 A.m. on Saturday January 29, 2022, the responsiveness and competence of the executive Chairman of Odeda local government chairman, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo played a huge role at saving lives and properties around Somorin; Obantoko area of Odeda local government when she received a distress call in the midnight of a property engulfed with huge fire outbreak.
Considering how risky it could be to ask the neighboring residents to put out the fire manually, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo decided to engage the services of Ogun Fire Services Men who were very responsible and responsive at the odd hour of the night.
Fewer minutes after the chairman put a call through the fire service emergency line, the fire brigades showed up fully prepared and executed their job professionally thereby mitigating the loss that could have been incurred by the neighboring residents to the point of the fire outbreak.
The responsiveness of the fire service at that time of the night further buttress the fact that the Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR led administration really meant well for the people of Ogun State.
We could recall that one of the foremost state apparatus given priority and reforms when the Governor assumed office as the Chief security Officer of Ogun State (CSO) was the Fire Service when he built several fire stations across the state and equipped them with modern state of arts facilities that would enable the discharge their duties effectively.
The great people of Odeda enjoyed the fruit of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s socio-infrastructural investment with the prompt and efficient service delivery of the state fire service earlier today which eventually save lives and properties worth billions of naira from being razed.
The Executive Chairman of Odeda local government, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo, while giving her remarks, thanked the efforts of the neighboring residents for putting a timely call through to her and she specially gave accolades to the men and brigades of the Ogun State Fire Service for their prompt and efficient service delivery.
The Chairman also called the attention of the people around to what Prince Dapo Abiodun has done to secure the lives and properties of every residents of Ogun State; “If there was no investment in the Fire
Services, what would have become of all the lives and properties around here today?” She rhetorically retorted.
The responsive Chairman thanked the responsible Governor for his various investments across the state, and she capped her speech by asserting that the state investments are yielding positive results across the board.
Finally, the Chairman urged every inhabitant of Odeda local government to take necessary precautions; this harmattan period to avoid the reoccurrence of such distasteful experience
