Olori Adeola and her Children; OLG Pry Schl. Pupils Ilagbe
The pupils of Odeda Local Government Primary School heaved a sigh of relief when Olori Adeola Foundation,founded by Mrs Oyetunde Adeola Esther celebrated the 2021 Children’s day with them.
Odeda Local Government Primary School Ilagbe(OLG ILAGBE) was founded in 1955 and has produced lots of great sons and daughters of the soil is not disconnected with issues of the failed education system in the country which became a matter of concern for Mrs. Oyetunde Adeola Esther who also hails from Odeda Local Government.
In her words, she said”I always feel disturbed when I see majority of these pupils going to school in tattered clothes, barefooted and looking unkempt, this made me visit the school and several others around to really have an insight of what was going on. It was discovered that 75%of pupils of OLG Ilagbe are without school uniforms, sandals and writing materials, no toilet, dilapidated classrooms and the only source of water for the pupils is from a river that will take 15mins trekking distance To and 15mins Fro.”

“It became a matter of concern for my baby foundation to come to the aid of this Future Leaders in our own very little way”she added.
This 2021 Children’s day was celebrated with the pupils in grand style and songs of praises rented the air from the pupils and prayers from their parents and teachers when The Foundation provided school uniforms,School Sandals and adequate writing materials for all pupils that lacked in the school.
Extra uniforms, Sandals and writing materials were also left with the school management for new pupils that may be willing to come
Speaking with one of the residents of the community who also happens to be a parent of one of the pupils made it known that OLG ILAGBE plays host to children from 14 villages in that community and has not tasted any form of development in the last 20years.
He also used the means to call on The state Government and Particularly the Local Government and the Representative at the State and National Chambers to come to their aid.
This gesture will be replicated by Olori Adeola Foundation across Odeda Local Government and it’s environs as this is just a flag off.
